SAFE-BioPharma encourage member companies

to take a close look at xyzmo

Jersey City, November 17, 2008 – xyzmo SIGNificant Group, the leading international digital and e-signature technology provider, announced today that its product, SIGNificant Suite, has been certified to be compliant with the SAFE-BioPharma™ digital identity and signature standard.

"By making its SIGNificant Suite compliant with the SAFE-BioPharma standard, xyzmo has made a unique and therefore very attractive product available to the pharmaceutical industry. We encourage our member companies to take a close look at this three-level authentication-enabled signature technology" said Mollie Shields-Uehling, president and CEO, SAFE-BioPharma Association.

“With SIGNificant Suite certified compliant with the SAFE-BioPharma digital standard, xyzmo has achieved another breakthrough in the US market. This helps us provide a considerable advantage over our direct competition as our technology continues to penetrate the pharmaceutical and health industry”, commented xyzmo’s VP Sales Juergen Hirtenfelder.

xyzmo’s SIGNificant Suite offers optional biometric signature authentication capabilities, a feature that is unique among all SAFE-BioPharma Vendor Partners.  This extra layer of authentication helps prevent forgery and ensures that only the intended signatory can actually sign a certain document.

In addition, three separate levels of authentication are offered within xyzmo’s unique technology. On top of the security provided by the digital certificate and the pin and password of each user, xyzmo includes within its digital seal a handwritten signature with the biometric attributes such as rhythm, speed, pressure, angle, and acceleration. All data acquired during the electronic signing process is stored within the signed and sealed digital document in standard file formats.

Pharmaceutical companies will now have the ability to streamline any processes which currently require a handwritten signature on paper, and enable these processes to be completely electronic and optionally ensure that the signatory is identified and verified at the time of signing as well.  Potential applications for xyzmo’s beneficial technology include, but are not limited to, eLab notebooks, physician’s sample request forms, eContracts, and regulatory submissions.  An added bonus for users of xyzmo’s technology is SIGNificant Suite’s interoperability with tokens, smartcards and any kind of local certificate.

Ken Bald, Sales Director for Pharmaceutical and Healthcare at xyzmo had this to say about xyzmo’s SIGNificant Suite, “Individuals who like the familiar process of putting a handwritten signature on a paper document can now do so fully electronically.  Additionally, this electronic signature can be authenticated via the user’s biometric signature data in real time and therefore the identity of the signatory can be ensured at the time of signing”.
